Kate Richards currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for CommunitiCare Health. She is Vice Chair of the board’s Quality Committee and participates as part of the Community Engagement Committee. 

A senior strategic communications professional, Kate’s career has focused on health and public sector communications. She specializes in strategic communications planning, media relations, brand development, stakeholder relations, and issues management. She has extensive experience working in the healthcare sector including at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and with Halton Region Public Health. She currently leads the Communications Office at the University of Toronto’s Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, Canada’s top-ranked pharmacy faculty.  

Kate is passionate about using her skills as a communicator to help improve access to high-quality and compassionate healthcare and to celebrate the incredible work of healthcare providers. Drawing from her experiences raising her children in the Junction neighbourhood of West Toronto, she is committed to advancing women’s health and inclusive, community-based care.
