Registered Dietitian

Temporary Full-Time Registered Dietitian – 6 months contract

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Dietitian plans and delivers the nutritional care clients and participates in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community health education (individuals and groups) to promote better nutrition. The dietitian works within the framework of the determinants of health with an emphasis on prevention and health promotion. Working collaboratively with clients, families, staff and community partners, the Dietician supports the Centre’s vision, mission and values, and participates in accreditation and strategic planning.

As the physiotherapist, you will provide care primarily in-person, at various on-site and off-site locations in the community. You will have the capacity to provide virtual care to meet client needs, a required. You will work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, from a framework that is trauma-informed, with a focus on anti-black and anti-indigenous racism, discrimination and oppression. Residential Support Worker

Temporary Full-Time

Residential Support Workers are responsible for providing a range of services to clients, consistent with the values and goals of the program/agency. They provide hands-on assistance to address the physical/cognitive, mental health and addictions needs of clients. RSWs are required to provide support to clients with daily living activities and assist with shopping, food preparation, cooking, food serving, and client supervision. This position requires that individuals assess potential crisis situations and intervene accordingly, while maintaining established routines of the program including all security, fire, general health and safety procedures. Residential Support Workers facilitate the overall smooth running of the program and building, consistent with the philosophies of the agency and under the direction of the Program Manager.

Peer Support Worker

Permanent Full-Time

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the clients’ unique wellness and recovery goals through group activities as well as engaging clients on a one-on-one basis. The Peer Support Worker will utilize their lived experience within the Mental Health Community to help assist, encourage, and mentor the clients through their own personal journey of recovery. The purpose of this role is to embark on a mutual learning experience with the clients we serve, rather than assuming the role of a counselor or therapist. The Peer Support Worker will be consistent with the philosophies of the agency and peer program and showcase excellence in the delivery of peer support competencies; complimented with compassionate and client-centred forms of engagement. The successful candidate will be part of the Peer Support Team and work closely with the staff team at each site.

Cook

Temporary Full-Time

Cook, prepare and serve lunch, dinner and snacks through the week, in support of clients living at CommunitiCare Health (CCH) high-support sites. The position oversees the operation of the kitchen but receives assistance from other staff and client-members thereby creating a communal atmosphere.
